Feeling Christ’s Atonement & Becoming Whole

This week I have felt such a stronger gratitude and admiration for Christ. I don’t feel like there is ever one point where you feel the love of Christ the strongest. I believe that in life you always have those spiritual highs and also those darker times where you feel all hope is lost. I can’t say I’m at a spiritual high or low at this moment, however. I am just realizing many things at this point in my life that I need to improve, as well as many things I’m extremely grateful for.

On Sunday, I heard some really great speakers testify of Christ and faith. Later in my studies this week I found that Faith was a repeated theme I stumbled upon. I have just felt an increased love and gratitude for Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us. I have felt his love and mercy on me these past few days as well.

I cannot express the magnitude of His sacrifice! Because of His selfless and atoning sacrifice, we can be made whole! With faith on him, and repentance or change in our thoughts and actions, we can have the ability to return to God’s presence after this life! Because of His sacrifice, we no longer have to suffer from the consequences of our mistakes! We don’t have to wallow in self-pity when we do something against the morals of God’s commandments. We can repent! What a blessing that is!

“Behold, he who has repented of his sins, the same is forgiven, and I, the Lord, remember them no more.” – D&C 58:42

We have a LOVING Father in Heaven! He WANTS us to return to His presence! He will not condemn us for past sins or mistakes if we have sincerely pleaded for forgiveness and changed our hearts!! If we are willing to change and strive to do His will, He will support us in that decision and accept us in His loving arms!

Also in D&C 58, we are told,

“Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness;

“For the power is in them, wherein they are agents unto themselves. And inasmuch as men do good they shall in nowise lose their reward.” (verses 27,28)

WE CHOOSE OUR HAPPINESS! To look unto Christ is life eternal!! They way is prepared if we just LOOK!

“And now behold, I say unto you that the right way is to BELIEVE in Christ, and deny him not, and Christ is the Holy One of Israel; wherefore ye must bow down before him, and worship him with all your might, mind, and strength, and your whole soul; and if ye do this ye shall in nowise be cast out.” -2 Nephi 25:29

When we come to learn more of our Savior through reading and listening and praying… we will feel His love and the Holy Ghost FILL OUR SOULS! You will literally feel full of his love. No more emptiness. No more fear. No more dread. When you come to know Him and truly trust in Him, you will feel that emptiness leave you and you will understand your purpose in life better, i promise you.

“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” -James 4:10

I don’t know if this all made sense…I was kind of just saying everything that came to my mind…but I want you all to know that Jesus Christ lives! He can absolutely change our lives. It doesn’t matter who we are, who we’ve been what we’ve done, where we’re from, or how we’ve treated others…we can leave it all in the past and receive that change of heart and renewal of our soul through JESUS CHRIST and Him only!

Of this i testify in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Have a great week and don’t let the worries of life bring you down. YOU matter! And God is waiting for you to come to Him. 🙂quote-uchtdorf-1174063-gallery
