It’s been a while. I have so many thoughts and experiences I want to share, but for now I’m just going to talk about something that’s been going through my mind recently: stop trying to impress people.
Why do we worry so much about job interviews?
Why do we worry about going on dates?
Why do we worry about anything?!
Something I’m becoming more and more aware of is that worrying does us no good, in fact it pushes us backwards! Worrying is a catalyst and at the roots of defeat, depression and anxiety! We make most of our “failures” up in our minds. When we do the best we possibly can given our circumstances, THAT’S THE BEST WE CAN DO! You don’t fail when you’ve given it your all!
Something important to remember is that God is behind everything. He knows what He’s doing. He also knows what you’re doing. He knows your unique personality, talents, and life experiences. He understands why you are the way you are. Therefore, He knows what’s best for you! He knows what would work best for you in life. So, worrying isn’t necessary when we know our Heavenly Father has our back!
If a job doesn’t work out, it wasn’t supposed to work out! There is probably a better fit for you, or an experience waiting for you elsewhere!
If a date doesn’t go so well, try it out again and see if it was just a bad first impression. hahahaha but if it still doesn’t work out, then you two just weren’t the best fit for each other!
We can’t let that kind of stuff get us down!! We need to BE OURSELVES, be understanding of others, and be open-minded! If we’re ourselves, we have a better chance at doing things that make us happy; if we’re trying to be like everyone else, we will never do what we truly want. If we’re understanding, we will be able to collaborate and get along with more people and therefore have more opportunities in life! If we’re open-minded, we will be able to expand our knowledge and perspective of humanity and life! Being open-minded is one of the most beneficial things we can do in life! We grow SO MUCH.
It might be “scary” trying not to worry over things like job interviews, dates, or any other life events…but there is NO growth in the comfort zone, and NO comfort in the growth zone– you’ve just gotta push yourself in life and see what you’re capable of! You have SO MUCH potential.
Trust in God, and trust in yourself. You’re a lot more talented and able than you think. Faith and hope have a huge impact on your happiness in life. Take those risks in life, trusting in God, and everything will work out!
I hope my small thought could help someone today! Happy Friday! Keep smiling!
