Talk to me!

Everything below this is how I had it on my mission:

I get to check my e-mail for an hour at a time each week. I check it on  Mondays while in Ecuador. You can go on here and send me a letter that way! You type up whatever you’d like to say, then the church headquarters prints it out and sends it to me for you! It’s very simple, and totally free. It also gets to me faster than regular mail, like pouch mail. (I describe pouch mail two paragraphs down). You can also send me care packages through this website without the worry of a package being stolen.

Letters: Sending me a letter is most definitely allowed and I encourage it! I would love to receive letters from anyone and everyone!  Here is my address.

Hermana Madison Dunne
Robles E4-151 y Amazonas
Casilla 17-07-9921
Quito, Pichincha
South America

(2-4 kilos is the limit for packages. tehe mas mejor is 2 kilos or under)

*Pouch mail: This is a mail system that is sped up by the church. The letters get to the missionary faster than normal mail. There are certain instructions to how these letters are sent which I included in the paragraph that follows. Items sent by pouch mail use the United States Postal Service (which means you only need in-state postage stamps.) from your location to church headquarters where they are forwarded to the missionary by a private courier along with other church mail. Pouch mail leaves church headquarters each Friday-so if they receive it after then, it won’t be sent until the following Friday.

Letter Folding Instructions: Lay the letter blank side down. Fold the bottom of the letter about one-third of the way up the page and crease. Fold the top of the letter to the bottom of the first fold and crease. Secure the long side with two pieces of tape about one inch in from each end, but do not seal the ends. In the top left corner write your name and complete return address. Affix first class postage in the top right corner. In the middle write the missionary address as follows:

                  Sister Madison Amy Dunne

                  Ecuador Quito North Mission

                            POB 30150

                  Salt Lake City, UT 84130-0150

Guidelines: The paper cannot be notebook, or other light-weight paper. It won’t process though the USPS machines. You cannot put pouch mail in envelopes. Photos are not allowed either. If you desire to send me a package please wait until I’m out of the MTC because it may not reach me in time, and they don’t forward packages. Thank you!! 🙂
